tree house….

Imagine your dream tree house….most people dream of it at some point or even have had one at some point.  So, this house in Stockholm actually has a tree in it! or so it looks like it does…. i absolutely love the idea… of exposing a bit of tree….we all need to be reminded of nature in our everyday lives and this is a lovely way of achieving it…

Living room perfection…..

There are so many elements that i love about this particular living room! (i have seemed to have lost the source but i couldn’t help but share it anyway…)

It starts with the white walls and floors…

Then moves along to the shape of the legs on the black armchairs, so striking!

Oh and the piles of casually placed textiles around, creating a melting pot of colour…

The lighting is also superb, nice and complimentary and easy on the eye! The only thing missing are the cushions! ( But it took me a while to notice they are not there, as there are so many interesting elements to look at, so i will forgive the decorator in this instance….)

The star of the show is the green plant sitting on a trolley, it adds a touch of  living, breathing life to the room….(audience: start clapping)…..

Spanish architectural splendor….

The concept of amazing architecture is very much alive in the auditorium and performing centre in Cartagena in Spain. Simply named El “B’ by the architect firm  SelgasCano based in Madrid. Color, form and line are used in such a delicate yet bold way to create a spectacular space which clearly delights the inspiration buds….

Leave no stone unturned…..

I just came across these works by American artist Jim Hodges . Made from Granite and stainless steel and lacquer, they are such amazingly out of this world forms.

They were exhibited recently at the Gladstone gallery in New York.

Chelsea apartment crush…

As we all know New york isn’t short of apartment living, but what makes a home an inspiring home is the evidence of the occupant’s personality.  The apartment of Taylor Tomasi Hill, is a purely inspiring mix of someone who isn’t afraid to mix it up and have fun……
